I think its a wonderful idea to combine the medical treatment trip with some tourism as, first, it is less expensive putting the two things together and secondly, which I like better, it is someone else's duty to take care of you even when you are having party (tourism).

The link http://www.delhispecial.entryindia.com/travel_guide/medical/medical_tourism lists consultants and portals that can help you to plan your trip.  The link also lists hospitals that direclty take care of you medically and with your tour. I don't know which one would save you more money but you may talk to all of them.
